Their first concert was for the Veteran's Day assembly. The choir sang several songs complete with choreography. What a show. They did awesome. It was so fun to watch Matt perform. You can tell he really enjoys it. I just hope he'll keep it up.
Matt also was asked to help with the flag ceremony along with several other boys from our neighborhood. It was super to get to watch them. They all had such poise and respect. Matt was the caller and did a splendid job. Everyone was very impressed. Their principle even had them come to her office later for more praise and a few special rewards too. Nothing says good job better than a new pencil and a coupon for McDonalds.
It was a great afternoon watching our boy. We are so proud of him!
He said later that it was one of the most stressful days of his life. I thought that statement was rather comical but it actually was probably pretty accurate. He started the day with a few tests, then had to give up his morning and lunch recesses for rehearsals. During the assembly he had to switch in and out of his robe a few times to sing and then do the flag ceremony. Busy boy. I am so pleased that he handled all of it so well.
So to finish off his big day we all came home and had ice cream!
