This year we decided to try something new for swimming lessons. In the past we have taken them through the city's park and rec program but I have not been overly impressed. This year we tried private lessons and loved it. The price was nearly the same, but the level of success and enjoyment was far better. The lessons were held in a friend of a friend's backyard. It was big and beautiful with a lots of grass, toys and a heated pool. The kids had as much fun playing on the toys while they waited for their lesson as they did in the water.
I loved how Shannon, their instructor ran her swim lessons. She taught Matt's class directly.
And had her 3 nieces and nephew run Ella's class so that Ella had nearly one on one attention. Last year we could hardly get Ella in the water. This year we couldn't keep her out. She loved her teachers and learned lots.
Matt worked really hard this year and is becoming a great swimmer. He especially loved the diving board this year!
