second grade here we come

Well first off I just have to say that I can't believe I have a second grader! That just makes me feel a tad too old - even though most of my friends from school probably have kids in high school!

Going back to school is pretty exciting - meeting your teacher, finding out which friends are in your class, seeing your new classroom. Even though Matt was complaining about summer already being over, once we got to the school for Meet the Teacher night, he was excited to be back. I am thrilled for him to start again. Even though we do miss him while he is gone to school I will not miss breaking up fights between him and Ella all day.

We are also excited about Matt's teacher this year and he is too. Hopefully it will be a terrific year!
