We dug through the attic and managed to find some fun baby toys that we hadn't gotten rid of yet. The kick toy was one of my best ever quarter sale finds when Ella was a baby. What amazing deal for only 25 cents! And there were even working batteries in it. Imagine my surprise when 2 1/2 years later I pulled it out of the attic and the batteries still worked! We thought Grace would just love it. The kids and I cleaned it all up and laid our baby under it. She kicked it once and the music started playing and the toys began spinning and Grace instantly screamed and cried in complete terror. It was so sad to see her so scared! We put it away and tried a few days later - same results. So we gradually worked her into it. We would set her on our laps and get the music going and things spinning and eventually she figured out that it was pretty fun.

Another attic treasure... This jumper was given to us by a friend when Matt was a baby he loved it, Ella not so much - we were curious how Grace would react - especially given our experience with her and the kick toy.
Again we cleaned it up and put her in it....
And she was instantly delighted with it! Hurray! We love to see her laugh and jump away. We have had it up for about a week now and she just loves to jump and hop around on her tiny little feet.

She is such a cutie!
All of my kids loved the jumper if it wasn't for that thing I probably would have not gotten a shower from about 5 months till they were about 9 months. Greatest invention ever if you ask me! :)
