scraptastic weekend

Last weekend was the first night I have ever been away from my children - in six years! I did miss them but I had a fabulous time without them as well. I got together with four other friends for a scrapbooking weekend. We started on Friday afternoon and finished up on Saturday night. We had so much fun creating, talking, eating laughing and even got a little bit of sleep somewhere in there too. I got a lot done and had such a great time. Can't wait to do it again!

A big thanks to Steve for taking time off work and committing all of his weekend to just being a fun dad. This weekend was good on so many levels. First of all I got a much needed break. And secondly the kids had a such a great time with their dad that I wasn't even missed. Ella totally bonded with Steve and that was great. She is a bit of a mommy's girl so on Sunday when she wanted to only sit with dad all through church it was a major break through!

We played a fun game where whenever you finished a layout you got to wear this great crown:

We took over Anna's house for the weekend - you wouldn't believe how much stuff five girls need to scrapbook for 36 hours!

We all worked hard and were happy.

But some of us got a little crazy towards the end.

We ate so much yummy food!

But wow did we create some wonderful pages!
