Matt has become quite the little reader. I am really amazed at what he can read. Something has just clicked and he has figured it all out. I have never really taught him the "rules" of reading and he is just barely starting at school but he can read all sorts of stuff. He picked up a book on Saturday that I have never read to him and read it to Grandma - It was probably a 3rd grade level book and besides a little help with the occasional word, he read it all himself amazingly well. I guess when they talk about the benefits of reading to your child everyday they mean it. Because that is all we have ever really done with him.
