phone calls

Matt was selected as the cub leader of his cub scout den for the next month.  Its a rotating position that they are trying out to give the boys more responsibility.

I was so proud of my boy today.  As soon as he got home from school he was on the phone calling every boy in his group - even the ones that he has never met and that never come out.  "Hi this is Matt, I just wanted to invite you to cub scouts tonight.  It's going to be a lot of fun. I hope you can make it."  No fears, no inhibitions, just exited to be on the phone making his calls, and sincerely wanting his friends to come out to scouts tonight.
