halloween

The kids were pretty excited about this Halloween and the day did not disappoint. It was rather busy with school for Matt and then a mad dash to carve the pumpkins and get dressed, take pictures and head to the church.

This was our year of repeat costumes. I have somehow lost all creativity when it comes to Halloween so we pulled out the pumpkin costume for Ella that Matt wore 4 years ago and Matt was a pirate - again. But regardless they looked awfully cute! And they had fun dressing up.
The kids loved seeing all their friends from church all dressed up at the trunk or treat. We got a good haul of candy from there and then we headed off with some friends to a nice little neighborhood that passed out handfuls of candy at each door. The kids loved it. We have way too much candy around our house now! Lots of houses had great decorations too and that was fun for all of us to enjoy. It was nice to walk around with friends too and the weather was so nice. It just couldn't have been better.

Ella and Matt were delighted by all the spookiness and sweetness of this fun holiday!
