eggs

Dying Easter eggs is one of our favorite springtime traditions. We fill up a giant pot full of eggs and boil them up and then everyone gets their allotment of eggs including me. Steve is never very excited about all of this, which just leaves more eggs for the rest of us. Then the fun with food coloring begins.  Drawing and coloring on food that we intend to eat later - how often does that happen?  Yeah... it's all pretty exciting.

I love how creative everyone gets and how silly and possessive they all get over "their eggs." Once they are all dyed they look so pretty that its sometime hard to crack them open and eat them.  But since everyone really loves boiled eggs in all forms (egg salad sandwiches, heated up with butter, cold, deviled) we get over that pretty easily.
