hot air balloons

Last week there was a hot air balloon launch.  We went to one of these 5 years ago and loved it so we were excited to get the chance to go again.  The only time that we could go was Friday morning, which was a school day for Matt, but the launch time was so early that we were able to go and still get Matt to school only an hour late.

It was a beautiful sunny morning.  A bit cold at 6:30 am but still nice.  We ate breakfast in the park while we walked around and watched the balloons inflate. We got to stand right next to the balloons and just watch them fill up. It was very cool.

 

 

 I think there were around 40 balloons that day that went up.  Quite the sight in the beautiful sunrise.

 

 

 

I think our favorite was the Mickey Mouse balloon.  This is the only time this balloon flies anywhere this year. So we were lucky to get to see it.

 

But my favorite sight were these three faces, enjoying those amazing balloons...
